Dr. Rose Thomas Olotu is a dedicated Public Health Specialist with over 19 years of experience in TB program implementation, research, and community-based service delivery. As a member of KNCV Tanzania, she brings extensive expertise in TB/HIV integration, pediatric TB, MDR-TB, community-based TB care, and policy development.

Throughout her career, Dr. Olotu has provided strategic guidance to large-scale TB programs funded by various organizations including USAID, CDC, Global Fund, and the Ministry of Health in Tanzania. Her experience encompasses conducting TB research, evaluating TB service delivery models, and analyzing programmatic data to inform decision-making.

Dr. Olotu has actively participated in numerous TB research studies, including assessments of pediatric TB notification, TB screening among people living with HIV, and patient perspectives on TB treatment services. Her postgraduate research on TB screening tool accessibility among healthcare workers has contributed to improved implementation strategies in Tanzania.

In her role as a Community TB Technical Expert, Dr. Olotu has led research-driven program improvements, ensuring evidence-based strategies for TB case detection, treatment adherence, and community engagement. She remains committed to strengthening TB research and innovation to enhance TB prevention, diagnosis, and treatment outcomes across Tanzania.
